Konbuild builds two kinds of modular home. Our expandable container homes (Oslo, Oslo Grand, Oslo Lux) fold out on site from a 40' container. Our modular resort range (Loft Mirror, Manor Wooden Villa, Moonbox, Wood Whisper, Cloud Villa) is designed for resorts, Airbnbs and serviced accommodation — please note that, due to building regulations, the resort range is not recommended for developed countries with strict building codes.

Planning and permits

It's essential to engage with your local council to obtain all the necessary planning and building permits. Our guidance in this area is limited, but we can provide general advice to help your project comply with local regulations.

Common questions about modular homes

What quality control systems do you have in place?

All products are fully inspected through the construction phase, and inspected and checked for quality again before shipment. Photographs and documentation are provided to you, the customer. We have an international team — our quality control person is from New Zealand — and everything must be built to, or exceed, your country's building codes.

How long does delivery take, and is there a warranty?

Delivery time is 90 days after we receive the deposit. Every home comes with a 1-year limited warranty, and if you ever have an issue with one of our products we will do our best to resolve it. Full details of the warranty are available on request.

Can the building be changed to fit my needs?

Yes. You can upgrade the panelling for better insulation in cold climates. If you want it empty, for example to build offices, that's also possible. Interior walls can be removed, as can the kitchen or bedrooms. Anything more complicated than these simple changes needs to be discussed with us, and there may be an engineering fee.
